Bow River in Banff National Park flows through large tracts of stunningly beautiful
mountain wilderness. As the moon rose over the distant mountain range, the quiet serenity of winter emerged with faint sounds of wildlife in the distance. With the sound of crackling snow and ice beneath my feet, I moved into position to capture the faint alpenglow creating one of the clearest blue skies in recent memory. The occasional blocks of ice flowing down the river winding through the valley, were a subtle reminder of the 10 below temperatures which enveloped the park this December night.
